Systematic Conservation Planning (SCP) is the global gold standard for integrating stakeholder values, biodiversity and socio-economic data to identify where best to implement conservation and nature recovery efforts.
DICE has over two decades of experience in SCP-related research and implementation activities across various countries and has worked with governments, NGOs, and other stakeholders to assist in planning and implementing conservation and nature recovery activities systematically.
Through the new E3 Sharing Space for Nature project, a five-year research initiative funded by Research England, DICE will develop its own capacity for delivering SCP-based solutions, while also creating a community of practice through engagement and capacity building that will let more people use this important tool for effective nature conservation and restoration.
