DICE Biodiversity Consulting was established in 2024 to extend the impact of the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology's (DICE) internationally recognised research through delivering practical consultancy.
Biodiversity is receiving more attention than ever, with organisations across the public, private and non-profit sectors setting ambitious goals for nature. Achieving meaningful outcomes requires robust evidence and practical solutions. We therefore help clients make effective decisions for nature by providing consultancy services underpinned by world-leading conservation science.
Based in Canterbury, we work across local, national and international scales. Our projects range from nature recovery in East Kent, to regional spatial conservation planning across England, to supporting conservation initiatives around the world. DICE Biodiversity Consulting is supported by the E3 Sharing Space for Nature initiative, a five-year project funded by Research England.
Our approach is rooted in DICE’s mission to conserve biodiversity and maintain the ecological processes that support life on Earth. We combine expertise in conservation planning, spatial decision support, policy and research to provide advice tailored to each project.
Alongside our core consultancy team, we work with specialists across DICE, enabling us to bring together a wide range of expertise in ecology, conservation, spatial analysis, policy and social science to ensure the right skills to address each project’s needs.
