Cyber Security and Risk Analyst at NATO

About

Eamonn Grennan holds Masters degrees in Security and Risk Management from University of Portsmouth and Forensic Computing & Cybercrime Investigation from University College Dublin.  He is currently based at NATO’s Operational Headquarters in Belgium and is a researcher on cyber security issues of concern to NATO. He has over 20 years’ experience in security, defence and diplomatic environments across UK and overseas.  His core expertise is in international affairs, geopolitical risk, terrorism and cyber security.

Research interests

Eamonn's interests encompass digital forensics, cybercrime and state actor nexus, information confrontation and cyber warfare. He is particularly interested in the leverage of new and emerging cyber technologies and techniques prior to and during conflict.

Teaching

Eamonn lectures in intelligence, terrorism and cyber security at the NATO School Oberammergau and University of Groningen summer/winter courses. He was lead author for Terrorist Financing & Terror–Crime Linkages module in the NATO Counter-Terrorism Reference Curriculum (2020)
