2025 Pilot ISC2 CISSP Certification Training Course

2025 University of Kent ISC2 CISSP courses

Introduction

iCSS is launching one ISC2 CISSP training course to help participants prepare for certification while shaping the future of cyber security training. The course will be the first pilot organised by the University of Kent as an Academic Training Partner of ISC2. It will be delivered by an ISC2-authorised instructor, offering comprehensive coverage of all eight CISSP domains to ensure participants are well-prepared to take the exam upon completion.

KMCC (Kent & Medway Cyber Cluster Ltd) is supporting this initiative by promoting the courses to the cyber security community and encouraging industry engagement, especially in the Kent and Medway region.

Is the course right for me?

As one of the best known cyber security certifications widely accepted by employers, CISSP is an advanced certification so not suitable for beginners. Five years of relevant work experience in cyber security is required to be CISSP certified (see here for official guidelines from ISC2).

If you feel less experienced, please consider other more entry-level cyber security certification such as ISC2 CC, for which iCSS and KMCC have been co-organising the 1MCC campaign locally with ISC2. We are also planning to organise one or two weekend 2-day training course for this entry-level certification.

Acknowledgments

This initiative is partially funded by the UK Cyber Cluster Collaboration (UKC3) through its Cluster Commercialisation Support Fund, supporting KMCC’s efforts to enhance professional cyber security training.
