About

Stacey Rand is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Kent. She is a co-Investigator of the NIHR-funded Quality, Safety and Outcomes of health and social care Policy Research Unit (QSO). Her research interests include quality of life (QoL) measurement in adult social care to understand the quality, safety and effectiveness of adult social care services for those accessing care, their unpaid carers and the workforce.

Stacey is the Programme Lead for the Adult Social Care Outcomes Toolkit (ASCOT) and has led or been involved in the development and validation of new, adapted and translated ASCOT measures.

Stacey is engaged, regionally and nationally, in promoting research capacity building (RCB) in social care. She is the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Kent Surrey and Sussex lead for social care RCB, and moderator of the cross-ARC national social care community. She also leads the University of Kent’s contribution to the NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) Social Care Specialist Centre led by the University of York.
