Welcome to CONSPIRACY_FX

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting our webpage. Established by Professor Karen Douglas and funded by the European Research Council, the CONSPIRACY_FX project will examine the “FX” or “effects” of conspiracy theories across a range of important social, health, and political domains.

The project commenced on 1st January 2022 and we are very excited to get started! At the moment, we are busy designing materials for our first set of studies examining the consequences of political conspiracy theories. We are also working on study materials to help us understand the consequences for people who spread conspiracy theories.

We will update this webpage regularly so that you can read more about our research and activities throughout the project. In the meantime, you can meet our postdoctoral researchers Ricky Green and Daniel Toribio Florez, and our project officer Cassidy Rowden.

One more postdoctoral researcher will join the team in early 2023 and we will soon be advertising for two PhD students to join the team at the beginning of 2023.

We are also very fortunate to be collaborating with Dr Jim Ang and Professor Heather Ferguson, and an esteemed group of collaborative advisors who we will introduce to you very soon.

You can follow us on Twitter @CONSPIRACY_FX. You can also find our contact details here.

With best wishes,
The CONSPIRACY_FX team
