We offer a range of projects in the areas of collaborative action and collaborative solutions suitable for a PhD in Management. You will receive comprehensive training by research in research methods and Management, preparing you for a career in research and development roles in industry or academia.
In the Collaborative Solutions Lab, we develop research that addresses social problems and solutions for real-world applications. We are interested in societal solutions to complex social issues through cross-sector partnerships, micro-finance, contract farming for poverty alleviation, employee volunteering for social exclusion; programmatic agreements for co-ordinated emergency medical service provision among others.
Fully funded PhD Studentships are not currently available but can be developed in collaboration with interested organisations.

Example projects on offer can be found at the bottom of the page, although these are not exhaustive and we welcome enquiries from potential students who wish to undertake projects on other topics within our research area. The projects do not have funding attached and require a separate application to a scholarship scheme. If you are planning to apply for a scholarship we strongly advice you to contact us at least 7 months in advance to discuss your research proposal.

We are a friendly, international group, and as a PhD student you will collaborating with academics, other PhD students and visiting researchers. We provide office space for each student, we have regular seminars series, educational and outreach events, and have access to wide range of postgraduate training opportunities.
There is no deadline for PhD admissions, applicants are assessed on a rolling basis. However, scholarships and funding schemes typically have deadlines early in the academic year, please check these carefully.
