
THE INAUGURAL ALEX MAGAISA ANNUAL MEMORIAL LECTURE AND ROUNDTABLE held at the Kent Law School in honour of our late cherished colleague, Dr Alex Magaisa (10 August 1975 - 5 June 2022) on 12th of October 2023. The venue of the event was at the Moot Courtroom, Wigoder Building, University of Kent, CT2 7NS and on the Teams online platform. In-person reception took place (with refreshments) from 17.30 in Wigoder foyer and the lecture and Roundtable began at 18.15-19.45. Distinguished inaugural lecturer – Beatrice Mtetwa. Beatrice Mtetwa is one of Zimbabwe’s foremost human rights lawyers. She has been honoured internationally for her fearless advocacy, particularly in defence of journalists and press freedom.
