GEOLOCATED INSTALLATIONS
Chatham – A Sonic Memory Palace, is a city-wide, interactive music installation that is driven by the activity of the listener and proximity to certain locations of interest created by Holonic Systems (OVE HOLMQVIST, MARK HAKONEN-MEDDINGS).
Install the free Holon app from the Apple App Store. Only available on Apple devices. Instructions available here
From Montage to Palimpsest – MARCUS LEADLEY AND DAVID ROGERS
The installation employs a wireless headphone network to present participants with a mediated version of the quotidian soundscape – while they explore the dockyard site. Field recordings made during pre-production (during the Friday Workshops) are edited, processed and archived with recordings of the site from 2013. These are loaded into a Max/MSP patch which generates a constantly evolving sonic palimpsest where times past and present collide, and actions, gestures, spaces are relationships are reconfigured.
Location: Galvanising Shop on Saturday 29th October (11-4)
