The East Kent Conservation Research Symposium

In December 2025, DICE hosted the first East Kent Conservation Research Symposium, which brought together around 170 delegates from across the university, local government, conservation NGOs, community groups, landowners, and schools, to create a community of practice in Kent.

Workshop: Developing KPIs for Conservation Translocations in the UK

In October 2025, DICE in partnership with England Species Reintroductions Taskforce and Natural England, hosted a workshop to refine new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for evaluating conservation translocations across multiple timescales.

The South East Reptile and Amphibian Group Meeting 2025

Part-funded by E3, this event, hosted in October 2025, was an opportunity to hear talks from speakers across the reptile and amphibian field. Students and young people also had the opportunity to present their talks in a 'Speed Talk' session for under 25s.

Spatial Nature Planning Forum 2025

The first Spatial Nature Planning Forum was held in April 2025. Through talks and interactive workshops, the Forum introduced Systematic Conservation Planning (SCP) and facilitated discussions on how developing a community of practice could help operationalise SCP in England.
