We are currently exploring possibilities for funding to hold a larger follow-up conference and/or other events in 2020, once the Comparative Study is also published and colleagues have had an opportunity to consider the material in the national reports and in the Comparative Study.

The challenges posed by EU law to the Member States’ constitutional law have hitherto typically been discussed within one Member States or in relation to specific themes. The conference would aim to foster joined-up discussion across Europe about the future direction of travel for European constitutionalism.

By way of other follow-up developments, Policy Memorandums with conclusions and recommendations arising from the project, including policy suggestions put forward by the project’s constitutional law experts in their national reports, will be prepared in summer 2019.
