Recent advances in quantum information are opening up new possibilities for decision-making. Work on entanglement-assisted coordination suggests that quantum resources may change not only how efficiently decisions can be computed, but also which joint decisions are possible under communication constraints. Meanwhile, progress in quantum computing offers new approaches to optimisation and decision problems. This interdisciplinary workshop will bring together researchers in Quantum Information, Game Theory, and Decision and Management Science to explore these emerging connections, assess their potential for real-world applications, and help establish the foundations of a new field: Quantum Decision Science.
This one-day meeting will take place on the University of Kent’s campus in the historic city of Canterbury. The meeting is organised by the University of Kent’s Quantum Applications Research Centre (QuARC) and funded by a Connect award from the Economic and Social Sciences Research Council.
