The IQTN Workshop on chiral tensor network phases will take place at Cosener’s House, Abingdon, 5 – 16 Abbey Close, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 3JD, the conference facility run by the UK’s Science and Technologies Funding Council (STFC) near Oxford. Travel from Heathrow Airport
Good options for travel from Heathrow Airport include the following. All have ca. 2h+/- travel time, so best option depends on your time of arrival.
Bus service options (may be fastest!):
- airport bus (Megabus or ‘OXF the Airline’) from Heathrow to Oxford, then local bus to Abingdon (schedule available on google maps). Note the OXF bus runs at 20 minute intervals during the day, so it may also be the most convenient option. Additionally, the OXF tickets are valid on local buses all the way to Abingdon.
Rail service option 1:
- Elizabeth Line: Heathrow to Reading (change at Hayes & Harlington Station)

- Then change to train Reading to Didcot, from there, connect to bus service (google maps link)
Rail service option 2:
- Heathrow express to Paddington, then Great Western Services to Didcot Parkway (schedule available on google maps)
Travel via London
(applies to all other London airports and many other UK locations). You can find outgoing trains from Paddington station direct to Didcot Parkway, or to Oxford. (For scheduling information see https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/).
Then use the bus or a taxi for onward connection to Abingdon (see above/below, respectively).
