We were privileged to host a visit of Dr Benoît Douçot from the LPTHE Jussieu, Paris to share his expertise on renormalisation of quantum field theories. Benoît also gave a talk on “Skyrmion crystals in quantum Hall ferromagnets”, a true feat of analytic understanding of a complicated interacting many-body system that leads to a very elegant solution.
