The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Solid State Chemistry group will hold its annual Christmas meeting at the University of Liverpool on the 23rd and 24th of December. As is now a well established tradition the Materials for Energy and Electronics will have a strong presence at this meeting. This year this focuses on Dr Emma McCabe giving an invited presentation entilted “Tuning the symmetry and properties of functional materials”, which will discuss new routes to ferroelectric materials key to many sensing and storage applications. Also during the annual general meeting (AGM) of the group Dr Paul Saines will commence as a member of the Solid State Chemistry group’s committee.
