Gary Taylor is Dahl and Lottie Pryor Professor of Shakespearean Literature at Florida State University. He was one of the General Editors of The Oxford Shakespeare (1986-7, rev. 2005), The Oxford Middleton (2007), the New Oxford Shakespeare: Complete Works (2016-17), and the New Oxford Shakespeare: Complete Alternative Versions (in progress). He also edited Henry V for the Oxford World Classics series, and co-edited The Tamer Tamed for Revels Plays Student Editions. He has also written five monographs, co-authored two books, and co-edited five. His “Death of an English Major” was anthologized among The Best American Essays 2019. The most recent of his more than eighty articles and book chapters is “Interface Design and Editorial Theory” in The Routledge Handbook to Shakespeare and Interface (forthcoming).
