Emma Rose Kraus is a PhD student at The Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies at the University of Kent. Her research, conducted in conjunction with The Oxford Marlowe’s editorial team, examines the staging of madness in modern performances of early modern English plays. She holds a BA (2018) in Theatre Arts from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and received both her MLitt (2020) and MFA (2021) in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin University. In 2020, she was awarded Mary Baldwin’s Andrew Gurr Award for Outstanding Thesis. In 2022, she was awarded a CHASE AHRC Studentship for her doctoral thesis project.
