Chloe Preedy

Chloe Kathleen Preedy is Associate Professor in Early Modern Drama at the University of Exeter. Her publications include Marlowe’s Literary Scepticism: Politic Religion and Post-Reformation Polemic (Arden Shakespeare, 2013), Aerial Environments on the Early Modern Stage: Theatres of the Air, 1576-1609 (Oxford University Press, 2022), and a co-authored edition of The Jew of Malta with Professor William Sherman (Arden Shakespeare, 2021). She is currently working on a new book called Playing Weather in Early Modern England: Theatre’s Meteorological Environments, which considers the environmental intersections between weather and theatre.
