About

Anouska Lester recently completed her PhD with the University of Roehampton. She was awarded the Malone Society’s John Edward Kerry Prize for her doctoral research, which examined the ephemeral materials of early modern performance. Her current projects look for evidence of women’s contributions to early modern provincial libraries and the curation of Shakespeare’s legacy. This research is supported by the Bibliographical Society and the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s Louis Marder Scholarship. She has worked with the Victoria and Albert Museum, London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, National Theatre, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Shakespeare’s Globe, and the Society of Antiquaries. She is the co-founder of the Revels Office, an international network for early career early modernists.
