About

Jonathan Pinkerton is a laureate for a co-supervised doctorate between the Initiatives for Science, Innovation Territories and Economy – Université de Lille Nord-Europe (I-SITE ULNE)’s Groupe d’Études et de la Recherche Interdisciplinaire en Information et Communication (GERIICO) and the University of Kent’s Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies (MEMS). In 2022 he began work on Marlowe’s Playbooks, his thesis project in association with the Oxford Marlowe project, which involves research into the publication history of Marlowe’s poems and plays, including tracking their publication record, the frequency of reprints, and any changes introduced with each reprinting, followed by analysis of how reprints adhered to or departed from prior iterations, all done through the use of digital toolsets. Jonathan’s cotutelle is under the supervision of Professor Widad Mustafa El Hadi and Dr Joana Casenave at l’Université de Lille, and Dr Rory Loughnane and Professor Catherine Richardson at the University of Kent.
