Irene Vilquin is a PhD researcher in the Programme d’Etudes sur l’Angleterre de la Renaissance aux Lumières at the Sorbonne-Nouvelle University in Paris. Her PhD is titled “’Untimely deaths’: Suicide, Imitatio and Heterodoxy in Christopher Marlowe’s Plays” and explores imitative suicides and disbelief in relation to the textual circulation of ideas in early modern Europe. Irene’s research is funded by the Sorbonne-Nouvelle University and supervised by Anne-Marie Miller-Blaise (Sorbonne-Nouvelle University) and Rory Loughnane (University of Kent).
