My research focuses on the papacy, the crusades, political communication, humanism and on the auxiliary sciences of history, first of all diplomatic. I am also interested in digital humanities and host a database containing all charters for recipients in the Empire before 1250: “Lichtbildarchiv älterer Originalurkunden (LBA)“
