In order to address its aims, the project will focus strategically on six case studies in Europe and Africa, organized in three sub-regional strands that illustrate vividly key policy-debates.

The project aims to pay in-depth attention to each case study individually while facilitating broader reflections across all case studies and within each strand. Taken as a whole, the case studies aim to provide an exemplary set of windows into the global stakes of the field, including the postcolonial aspects of contemporary debates.
