Join us on our canterbury campus for a series of evening events!
6th August 6pm – 8pm : Behind the Scenes: Space Science & Innovation
Explore the cutting-edge world of space research with exclusive guided tours of our state-of-the-art Impact Facility. Get an up-close look at the technology used to study meteor impacts and planetary surfaces, and watch live demonstrations of real-world experiments. Then, step into our Space Artifacts Exhibition, where you’ll see rare meteorites, space mission equipment, and memorabilia from historic explorations. Learn how these discoveries have shaped our understanding of space and get inspired by the latest advancements in space science through engaging expert talks and interactive presentations.
7th August 6pm – 7pm: University Application Night
For students looking to turn their passion for space into a career, our University Application Night provides invaluable guidance. Meet our academic admissions officer and Get the insights you need to apply to top universities, as well as learn about degree programs in space science, engineering, and technology, and get expert advice on applications, scholarships, and career pathways. This will take place in stacey leacture theatre 1 – with reception in the Ingram building foyer via the main Ingram entrance off of park wood road
9th August 8pm – 11:30pm: Public Observing Night
Experience the universe like never before! Join us as we set up telescopes for a spectacular night of stargazing. Observe distant planets, sparkling star clusters, and far-off galaxies with the guidance of expert astronomers. Whether you’re a seasoned observer or a first-time stargazer, this is a night you won’t want to miss. This will take place at the beacon obseratory – with reception and pre-observing astrodome access in the Ingram building foyer via the main Ingram entrance off of park wood road
