Welcome to Kent Space Week 2025 – an immersive event for teens aged 14-17 eager to dive into the world of space exploration!
Five Day Main Sessions
Begin by planning your own space mission from start to finish, tackling real-world challenges and developing strategies just like professional space teams. Then, bring your ideas to life by building and launching a rocket, coding and testing a rover, and working alongside experienced mentors and fellow enthusiasts. Covering rocketry, robotics, and mission design, Space Week offers everything you need to explore, create, and push your skills to new heights!
The event runs over five days with the core events for attendees being within the daytime. It is hosted on the University of Kent, Canterbury Campus.
Public Evening Sessions
In the evenings, Kent Space Week 2025 opens up to the public with special events that bring the excitement of space exploration to everyone. Join us for guided tours of our Impact Facility, where you’ll get an up-close look at the cutting-edge technology used to study meteor impacts and planetary surfaces. This year, we’re thrilled to include an exhibit of authentic space artifacts—featuring meteorites, space mission equipment, and memorabilia from historic explorations—giving visitors a rare glimpse into humanity’s journey beyond Earth.
Our University Application Night provides guidance for those interested in pursuing studies in space science, engineering, and technology. Don’t miss our public observing night, where telescopes will be set up to explore planets, stars, and galaxies, allowing everyone to witness the beauty of the universe first-hand. Each evening will also feature expert talks and live demos showcasing the latest advancements in space science. Whether you’re a participant or visitor, these events offer a unique, immersive experience into the world of space exploration.
