The goal of the Center is to advance current knowledge about human behavioral processes involved in decision making. Researchers study the impact of delayed rewards, risk, and effort on behavior. The Center also conducts behavioral economics studies, in particular on the processes involved in discounting and valuation of goods that carry different types of costs.
The Political Psychology Lab brings together researchers from the School of Psychology and the School of Politics and International Relations to foster interdisciplinary research on the links between psychological processes and politics.
From neurons to social networks, we examine how collective concerns—group identities, moral values, and political beliefs—shape the mind, brain, and behaviorTo study these issues, we employ methods from cognitive neuroscience, social cognition, behavioral economics, and computational social science.
