EDU-B 2025 is a product of Kent’s Stage 2 physics module PHYS5300.
The module tasks students with tackling one of a selection of questions or topics put forward by academia and industry. EDU-B is the topic fully titled Diversifying and Decolonizing the Undergraduate Curriculum, proposed by Dr Yetunde Kolajo of Kent’s Centre for the Study of Higher Education. It focusses on issues of representation in the physics curriculum, asking assigned students to assess the issue and how it may be addressed, as well as how teaching methods themselves may be diversified beyond traditional lectures.
While EDU-B’s primary products are a report and presentation, this website was developed as a tool to help address underrepresentation and to allow for easy integration into teaching.
