Prof. Juliana Sutanto is a Professor in Information Systems at Management Science Department, Lancaster University Management School, Lancaster University. She is currently PhD Director at the Management Science Department and an active member of the Centre for Transport and Logistics.
Prof. Sutanto is a Senior Editor in the Journal of Association Information Systems (from July 2021), an Editorial Board Member in the Journal of Strategic Information Systems (JAIS) and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and an Associate Editor of Information Systems Research (ISR)’s Special Issue on Unleashing the Power of Information Technology for Strategic Management of Disasters. She was an Associate Editor in MIS Quarterly (2017-2020).
Prof. Sutanto’s research interests revolve around system design, users' behavioural analysis (both quantitative and qualitative data), data management, and data visualisation. She pursues her research with the active involvement of the stakeholders to ensure the value and relevance of her research. She is a recipient of Informs ISS Design Science Award on privacy-safe design in 2013. Her research has been published in top journals in information systems - MIS Quarterly, ISR, JAIS and Journal of Management Information Systems, as well as top journals in general management - Management Science.
Prof. Sutanto’s on-going research projects include a decision support system for disaster management, smart health, and digital transformation where she collaborates with researchers from other disciplines (Operational Research, Medicine, and Computing), and with international stakeholders.
