Professor Currie is a member of the Operational Research group in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Southampton and of the Centre for Operational Research, Management Science and Information Systems (CORMSIS). She was previously Director of CORMSIS and is now Impact Champion for Mathematical Sciences.

Research interests

Professor Currie’s research focuses on decision-making under uncertainty, with applications in healthcare, disaster management and optimal pricing. Predominantly this work involves stochastic optimisation, making use of simulation, dynamic programming, robust optimisation and heuristics to solve practical problems.
