PhD Candidate in International Conflict Analysis

About

Giulia earned her BA in History and Politics and her MA in International Security and the Politics of Terror at the University of Kent. After receiving a Vice-Chancellor’s Research Scholarship in summer 2018, she came back to the University of Kent to pursue her PhD in International Conflict Analysis.

Giulia’s PhD research is about far-left violence in Italy between the late 1960s and the mid-1980s. Giulia is investigating how former far-left militants perceived the socio-political world around them and how their perception affected their decision to commit to violence. Her research interests are related to the study of conflict and peace, political violence, radicalisation processes.
