Anna-Marie-Louise Tiessen

About

Louise is a PhD candidate at the School of Politics and International Relations, University of Kent. Her research focuses on linking notions of citizenship and denationalization to deradicalization and reintegration of ISIS returnees. Her main focus is on Germany.

Louise holds two Masters degrees: an International Relations and International Law MA from the University of Kent, and a Terrorism, Security and Society MA from King’s College, London. She is the Co-Founder of the Deradicalization and Security Initiative GmbH, which is based in Germany. Louise also grew up and works in the family-owned hotel and restaurant business.
