Adam is a PhD Candidate in Politics and International Relations at the University of Kent and Visiting Lecturer at City, University of London. His research focuses on peacebuilding in ethnically divided societies, with particular emphasis on Southern Africa and its transition to democracy. Since 2022, Adam has worked as part of ORA7 project Inclusive Peace focusing on citizen support for peace settlements. Adam’s previous research in history and ancient history makes him passionate about pursuing multi- methodological approaches to examining key issues, reflected in current research analysing leadership autonomy in negotiation spaces, citizen preferences in constitutional reform and examining the mechanisms which explain how ethnic conflict can transition towards inclusive settlements. Adam is also a passionate educator with current teaching engaging with various topics relating to violent politics around the world.
