Summary

The project (2012-13) has uncovered a series of fundamental pedagogical questions, some of which are to be explored further in the upcoming two years. The main question to be addressed is the relationship between research and design in the architectural curriculum. In addition to the tendency of research in design-based architecture programmes to lack academic rigor and depth, the challenge is the effective integration of research into the architectural design process.
