Summary

The project aimed to develop performance specifications for climate change adaptation strategies, focusing on overheating, thermal comfort and energy performance of a heritage townhouse in Cliftonville, Margate.  The property, owned by Kent County Council along with Thanet District Council will be monitored extensively after refurbishment has taken place.  With this in mind, the team at CASE developed a detailed methodology for the monitoring and evaluation of the heritage property after refurbishment to evaluate its success and replication potential across coastal towns.
