Scott Clissold was born in Wales in 1978, and began working as a weekly editorial cartoonist for a local newspaper at the age of twelve. In 1994, at the age of fifteen, he began working for the Daily Star, and also began illustrating the political commentator’s column in the Sunday Express, using the signature ‘Click’. In 1997 he left the Daily Star, but in 1998 became political cartoonist for the Sunday Express, using the signature ‘Scott’. He also deputised for Griffin on the Daily Express.
From 2002 onwards Clissold has also produced three-dimensional political caricatures for Tribune magazine’s front cover, where they appear on alternate weeks. He has contributed to the Daily Express, The People, TV Times, Sunday Business, and S2 magazine.
In April 2003 Clissold became editorial cartoonist on the Daily Star, in his own words ‘taking a light hearted look at the world of celebrity, television and sport.’
Clissold has worked for the Daily Telegraph, Sunday Express, Daily Star, Daily Star Sunday, Daily Express, The Wall Street Journal, Horrible Histories, People, TV Times, Sunday Business, Health Lottery, S2 magazine, Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff, Tribune magazine and Building Design Magazine.
