Alfred Sindall

About

Born in 1900, Alfred J. Sindall drew the Paul Temple strip in the London Evening News from 1951 to 1954, and the Tug Transom strip in the Daily Sketch from 1954 to 1969. He also illustrated many of the Biggles series of boys books by W.E. Johns, anddrew for Girl comic.

Sindall died in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, in 1973.  His son was the sculptor Bernard Sindall (1925 – 1998).
