Dr Rabinovich\u2019s visiting professorship coincides with the War and Nation research network events this year and our <a href=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/warandnation\/our-network-events-in-lima-peru\/\">international conference on the construction of South American republics<\/a> between 1780 and 1850.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3006\" src=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/warandnation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1846\/2017\/11\/AR-Book-.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"297\" \/>Alejandro Rabinovich is the War and Nation network researcher based at the Universidad Nacional de La Pampa, Argentina. He has published the following monographs: <em>La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 guerri\u00e8re. Pratiques, discours et valeurs militaires dans le Rio de la Plata, 1806-1852<\/em> (Presses Universitaires de Rennes, 2013), <em>Ser soldado en las Guerras de Independencia<\/em>. <em>La experiencia cotidiana de la tropa en el R\u00edo de la Plata, 1810-1824<\/em>, (Sudamericana, 2013 ) and\u00a0<em>Anatom\u00eda del p\u00e1nico <\/em>(Sudamericana, 2017). His research focuses on the phenomenon of war in revolutionary processes and in the formation of the state.
