Deputy Head of School and Professor of Sustainable Architecture, Marialena Nikolopoulou was recently interviewed by National BBC One o’clock news to discuss cool white roofs, on 16 April 2021. More specifically, Professor Nikolopoulou was commenting on a story about a new ultra-white paint developed in California. This is the coolest paint yet, reflecting over 98% of sunlight, presenting an important urban climate solution with the potential to significantly reduce energy use for cooling in cities.
