Deputy Head of School, Professor Marialena Nikolopoulou, participated in the after school ‘STEM speed dating’ event at the City of London School for Girls on 21st January 2020, aiming to empower young women with careers in STEM. Professor Nikolopoulou was the only representative of the Built Environment discipline and she presented the Urban Albedo project, which captured the girls’ imagination highlighting potential areas of STEM work beyond traditional disciplinary norms, as well as bridging across disciplines.
