Entries must be a single episode no longer than one hour<\/li>\n<li>Written \u2013 published in newspapers or online publications<\/li>\n<li>Sound \u2013 broadcast on radio or online podcast. Entries must not exceed one hour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The report or broadcast must have been published between January 1st 2018 and September 30th 2019<\/p>\n<p>The award will be given to someone who has<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>demonstrated insight into the phenomenon of unbelief, through original investigation<\/li>\n<li>showed clear understanding of the nature of unbelief<\/li>\n<li>explained the impact on the lives of those whose stories are told<\/li>\n<li>used appropriate and insightful commentators to explain the phenomenon<\/li>\n<li>showed imaginative approach to presenting these findings through print, online, film or audio, on one or multiple platforms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>T<strong>he closing date for entries is October 7th 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Entries will be shortlisted by a steering group of broadcasters, journalists and other media professionals, alongside members of the Understanding Unbelief Team<\/p>\n<p>The prizes are: winner of 2k and runners up of \u00a31k each.\u00a0 In order to encourage media professionals at the start of their career, one of the \u00a31,000 prizes will be awarded to someone aged 18 \u2013 30<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to enter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Download the entry form<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/understandingunbelief\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1816\/2019\/04\/Media-Award-application-form.pdf\">here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alternatively a full pdf application pack including the background and guidance information and the entry form is available <a href=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/understandingunbelief\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1816\/2019\/04\/Media-Award-application-pack-v2.pdf\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Complete the form and return to <a href=\"mailto:info@understanding-unbelief.net\">info@understanding-unbelief.net.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you are applying with a print or online media piece you can send a pdf of the article along with your application form.
