SC2022 conference ended

The ‘Sonic Cartography: Soundscape, Simulation and Re-enactment’ conference was a huge success, with 94 delegates arriving from around the world to the University of Kent, selected from 180 submission proposals. The conference was extended from two to three days to cover installations and workshops.

There were paper presentations and discussions, sound works presented in Listening Rooms, acousmatic compositions in two Music & Audio Arts Sound Theatre (MAAST) concerts in the impressive Mezzanine of Slip 3 in Chatham Historic Dockyard, and two concerts with the massive Wave Field Synthesis system with 192 loudspeakers of the Game of Life foundation from the Netherlands.

Our conference concluded with a round table that included contributions from all delegates present. The large Sonic Cartography community keeps in touch via our Discord channel. (Contact Dr Aki Pasoulas if you wish to be part of this community.)
