His talk, titled &#8220;What is a Chemical Bond?&#8221;, was presented to an audience of over 120 participants at the Claustro de San Agust\u00edn, a historic site now home to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicartagena.edu.co\/\">Universidad de Cartagena<\/a>\u2019s main city-centre campus.<\/p>\n<p>Cartagena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was a fitting setting for a reflection on fundamental concepts in chemistry. The lecture took place in a grand hall adorned with a classical portrait of Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar, the liberator of much of South America and founder of the Universidad de Cartagena in 1827.
