Funded PhD positions in specific projects will be advertised on this page when available. Depending on the time of year, you could consider applying through Kent’s Global Challenges Doctoral Centre (there are a number of projects you could tap into), or if you are a Chinese national, for a CSC Scholarship (that link is for last year, but the scheme will be open again this year). In either case, make sure you get in touch first to discuss projects

Please note that you will be expected to provide personal details, education and employment history and supporting documentation (Curriculum Vitae, transcript of results, two academic references). There is no deadline – applicants will be assessed on a rolling basis.

For postdoctoral positions within the group, please do get in touch to discuss support for applying for external funds. We are keen to support applications including those for Rutherford Fellowships, Newton mobility grants, Newton International Fellowships, Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 Fellowships, Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships, or Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellowships, or other schemes which may be available to you – a comprehensive list can be found here.
