By analysing a range of examples from the pre-eminent literary entertainment of its time, the genre of chivalric Arthurian romance, this project reveals the cultural implications of the figure of the Black Knight in respect of attitudes towards race, colour, and ethnicity in late medieval Europe. Georgie completed her BA and MA at the University of Kent in Film Studies before transferring her skills. Georgie\u2019s supervisory team are Dr Clare Wright and Dr Ryan Perry.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luke Farrell &#8211; &#8216;Mapping Elizabethan Canterbury&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Luke Farrell is a first-year PhD researcher at the University of Kent. He is a social historian whose research focuses on the social and cultural topography of Elizabethan Canterbury.
