[A]n intense and amazing experience of interdisciplinary formation<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

On behalf of the academic directors, welcome to the Kent Summer School in Critical Theory 2019. An initiative of the\u00a0University of Kent<\/a>, the KSSCT is supported by the\u00a0Kent Law School<\/a>\u00a0and its interdisciplinary\u00a0Centre for Critical Thought<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We are excited to announce that the school will run from 1 July to 12 July 2019 June at the Paris Centre of the University of Kent, Reid Hall, Montparnasse, and we are honoured that this year, Professor Alain Pottage (London School of Economics, UK) and Professor Sigrid Weigel (Research Centre for Literature Research (ZfL Berlin), Germany) will each lead an intensive two-week seminar.<\/p>\n

The KSSCT now returns for its fourth year, in previous years having hosted intensive seminars from Professors Samantha Frost (Illinois, USA), Peter Goodrich (Cardozo, USA), James Martel (San Francisco), Davide Tarizzo (Salerno, Italy), Bernard Stiegler (IRI, Pompidou Centre, France),\u00a0Timothy Campbell (Cornell, USA) and Patricia Williams (Columbia, USA), as well as guest lectures from Professors Davina Cooper, Geoffrey Bennington, Roberto Esposito and Iain MacKenzie. This year, we are excited to announce that the KSSCT space is expanding. In 2019, in addition to intensive seminars from Professors Pottage and Weigel, and the customary evening lectures and roundtables, we will also hold a Graduate Research Day<\/a> on the weekend before the seminars commence. All KSSCT applicants and interested postgraduate researchers are invited to apply – for more details, please see the dedicated tab on this website.<\/p>\n
