Creativity, imagination and open-mindedness

Several developmental changes occur in imagination abilities and open-mindedness in late childhood. A team of researchers, Professor Heather Ferguson, Dr Angela Nyhout, Dr Francesca Carbone and Abigail Pitt, are conducting a new study to better understand these developmental changes in 8-12 year-olds.

We are recruiting children to come with a parent for 45 minutes to one hour at the University of Kent (Canterbury) where they will complete a series of games and computer tasks measuring their creativity, imagination and open-mindedness.

CRITERIA: We are recruiting children aged 8-12 years-old, who are fluent in English, and who do NOT have an autism diagnosis.

In return for their participation, children will receive £8 and a Young Scientist certificate.

GET IN TOUCH: If you think your child would like to take part, please email openmind@kent.ac.uk to find out more, following which you can decide to participate on a day/time which is convenient for you
