About

In 2010 Dr Anja Krueger graduated with an M.Sc. in chemistry from the Free University in Berlin in Germany. Her master’s thesis was carried out in the field of glycoanalysis at the University Hospital Charité Berlin in Germany. This was followed by a Ph.D. from the National University Ireland Galway under the supervision of Prof. Matthew Griffin & Prof. Lokesh Joshi on “The Glycoprofiling of Human Kidney-derived Extracellular Vesicles” using, in particular, lectin microarrays and other lectin-based strategies. From 2015-2018 she worked on the MRC-funded gene therapy project in the laboratory of Prof. Matthew Wood at the University of Oxford, using exosomes for Htt-gene silencing in Huntington’s disease. In June 2018 Anja joined the team of Prof. Anne Dell & Dr Stuart Haslam at Imperial College London, focussing on analytical glycosciences. Her interests are in glycobiology and nanoparticles with particular emphasis on immunology and neurobiology.
