The Department of English Language and Linguistics has a vibrant research culture, with regular events and conferences.

Lectures and seminars

The Centre for English Language and Linguistics hosts events which provide a forum in which colleagues from the University of Kent and from other universities in the UK and abroad can present aspects of their current research in the field. These form part of a wide-ranging events programme for the Department of English Language and Linguistics.

Conferences

The Centre hosts regular conferences, the most recent being the 2018 Colloquium of the British Association of Academic Phoneticians, which was held at the University of Kent, 12-14 April 2018.
