This morning we have updated research.kent to improve the site listing experience for users of the new research.kent homepage and to bring it inline with the rest of the Kent digital real estate.
This update sees the inclusion of the five ‘Research Strengths’ as well as a ‘Current project’ label. Both of these are categories which can be applied the same as academic divisions and Signature Research Themes. Research Strengths can be chosen from a dropdown menu whilst current projects is a singular category and is selected by a checkbox.
Both of these filterable options are hidden at the moment, but will be switched on at a later date once we have sites suitably categorised.
We have also improved the search function to improve its efficiency and work alongside the other selectable filters.
When selecting values or typing in a search string you will see a ‘Reset filters’ link appear at the bottom, allowing ALL filters to be reset and the view to return to how it was when the page loaded.
