This morning the Web and Learning Development team have issued a patch to research.kent to update the KAR panel.
With recent changes made to KAR (https://kar.kent.ac.uk/) to remove some centres and subdivisions from the divisions category and to create matching Kent Web Tags the Web and Learning Development team have had to update the dropdowns on the KAR panel to reflect these changes.
Previously the divisions and sub divisions were hard coded into the dropdown fields, requiring us to edit the code everytime KAR was udpated. The patch applies removes the two fields found previously and provides you with one dropdown field to choose your division or subdivision. This field is automatically populated with the latest list of divisions from KAR, and sorted according to its id (number in brackets).
In the coming weeks we hope to be rolling out further changes including support for querying publications by Kent Web Tag.
